Information:
- "Entry & Drive" ignition switch (with four ignition switch positions)
no longer installed.
- Ignition switch standardized to standard version (with three
ignition switch positions).
In the current model year A (2010), the ignition switch used up to now with four ignition switch positions is no longer installed on vehicles with Entry & Drive" and has been replaced by the standard ignition switch with three ignition switch positions.
Date of introduction: mid-April 2010.
You will recognize vehicles with Entry & Drive" featuring the standard ignition switch in the master data by the I-no 750 (Re-integration model year A).
Change:
As a result of the standardization of the ignition switch to the standard version, vehicles with "Entry & Drive" no longer have the following functions:
- Activate steering lock manually (= ignition switch in position 3 for approx. 2 seconds).
- Remove control panel (ignition switch adapter) from the ignition switch (= ignition switch in position 3 for approx. 10 seconds).
As of the date of introduction, the "Steering lock" function on vehicles with "Entry & Drive" is activated in the same way as the existing automatic steering lock:
With the ignition switched off, the steering wheel is locked automatically via the steering column when the driver's door is opened and is unlocked automatically in position 1 after the ignition key is inserted.
As of the specified date of introduction, the "Remove control panel" function on vehicles with Entry & Drive" is activated in the same way as the existing standard version:

This topic is not updated in the Owner's Manual for model year A.

Action Required:
In the event of a complaint (= "Entry & Drive" function does not work as described in the Owner's Manual), please inform your customers about the change described above.

Spare Parts Requirements:
If a replacement ignition switch is required for model year A vehicles with Porsche Entry & Drive (I No.625):
Check whether the vehicle is equipped with I-no. 750 (Re-integration model year A) by entering the vehicle identification number under Vehicle Information" in the PIWIS information system.
If it is: The ignition switch in the vehicle is the standard version" (three ignition switch positions) = 7PP.905.865.B
If not: The ignition switch in the vehicle is Entry & Drive" (four ignition switch positions) = 7PP.905.865.C
