Replacing sealing ring for output shaft








Preliminary work for sealing ring for output shaft

1. Remove rear cardan shaft.

1. Engage the parking lock in order to counter.
2. Loosen the nut on the output flange using socket-wrench insert Nr.203.

3. Remove output flange using a two-arm puller.

4. Remove sealing ring using slide hammer kit Nr.168.

Installing sealing ring for output shaft

1. Clean the thread and toothing on the output shaft.

2. Fill the space between the dust lip and sealing lip on the new sealing ring with grease.

3. Drive new sealing ring in flush using pressure piece 9833 side A.

4. Position the flange at the correct position on the toothing of the output shaft and tap on carefully using a rubber hammer.
5. Screw on new fastening nut using a socket-wrench insert Nr.203. -> Tightening torque: 218 Nm (161 ftlb.)±5 Nm (±3.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work for sealing ring for output shaft

1. Install rear cardan shaft.
