Windshield Washer Hose: Service and Repair

Preliminary work

1. Remove cover on lid hinge. -> 552519 Removing and installing front lid hinge - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
2. Remove ignition module for lid - if fitted. -> 696919 Removing and installing ignition module for lid - section on "Removing" 696919 Removing and installing ignition module for lid
3. Turn front wheels to the right.
4. Remove rear part of front right wheel housing liner. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Removing" Removal and Replacement
5. Remove spray nozzles for windscreen washer system. -> 926619 Removing and installing spray nozzle for windscreen washer system - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
6. Remove engine-compartment light. -> 964219 Removing and installing engine-compartment light - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
7. Remove cowl panel cover. -> 508719 Removing and installing cowl panel cover - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
8. Remove right plenum panel cover. -> 852219 Removing and installing plenum panel cover - section on "Removing" 852219 Removing and installing plenum panel cover

Removing hose for windscreen washer system

1. Detach hose under the wing.

1.1. Pull hose -1- off the pump -2- ( -B- ).
1.2. Unclip hose from the reservoir -A-.
2. Press hose -1- between the wing and plenum panel upwards -A-.

3. Pull hose -1- up out of the engine compartment -A-.

4. Detach engine control unit.

4.1. Unscrew both fastening screws -1- on the cowl panel.
4.2. Unscrew both fastening screws -2- on the engine control unit.
5. Press the engine control unit to the rear -A-.

6. Pull out the hose -1- ( -B- ).
7. Release and pull out electric plug connection -3- ( -a- ).

8. Remove rubber sleeve -1- from the opening -A-.

9. Open the clip -2-.
10. Pull hose assembly -1- out of the opening -2- in the lid -A-.

Installing hose for windscreen washer system

1. Guide hose assembly -1- into the opening -2- ( -A- ).

2. Press rubber sleeve -1- into the opening -A-.

3. Close the clip -2- around the hose assembly.
4. Guide the hose -1- for the reservoir for the windscreen washer system downwards -A-.

5. Screw in fastening screws -2- on the engine control unit.

6. Tighten fastening screws -1- on the cowl panel.
7. Plug in electric plug connection -3- until the connector locks with an audible click.

8. Clip in hose -1- on reservoir for windscreen washer system -A-.

9. Connect the hose -1- to the pump -2- ( -B- ).

Subsequent work

1. Install right plenum panel cover. -> 852219 Removing and installing plenum panel cover - section on "Installing" 852219 Removing and installing plenum panel cover
2. Install cowl panel cover. -> 508719 Removing and installing cowl panel cover - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
3. Install engine-compartment light. -> 964219 Removing and installing engine-compartment light - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
4. Install spray nozzles for windscreen washer system. -> 926619 Removing and installing spray nozzle for windscreen washer system - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
5. Install rear part of front right wheel housing liner. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Installing" Removal and Replacement
6. Install ignition module for lid - if fitted. -> 696919 Removing and installing ignition module for lid - section on "Installing" 696919 Removing and installing ignition module for lid
7. Install cover on lid hinge. -> 552519 Removing and installing front lid hinge - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
