Front Apron

Front Apron

In the design of the new front apron, the larger, external air intakes give the vehicle a superior look and demonstrate the high performance potential of the new 911 models. The larger openings ensure that the cooling requirements, which are approx. 20% higher as a result of the higher engine power, are met. The larger design makes the front of the new 911 models look wider. Air is guided from the middle air intake to the two external cooler modules via by-pass channels.

The two cross-vanes fitted in the air intakes as well as the frame are painted black on the rear-wheel-drive models, while they are differentiated on the all-wheel-drive models by a titanium paint finish.

A horizontally arranged front light unit in a new design, incorporating the LED daytime driving light, position light and direction indicator, is positioned above the side air intakes. The separate LED daytime driving lights replace the previously installed fog lights. Besides providing optimal lighting, the positioning of the LED daytime driving lights and position lights as well as their integration into the shape of the front section gives the new 911 models a striking and superior look even at night.
