Interior Body Equipment
Interior
The proven interior design from the previous generation is essentially the same, but has been further optimized with regard to driver guidance, convenient operation and looks. The use of the new 6.5" touchscreen color screen instead of the number pad means that the newly designed center console has fewer operating buttons. The center console is thus easier to understand, even with its increased functionality. The new center console and operating buttons have a rich black paint finish.
The steering wheel rim of the standard steering wheels used in the new 911 models has a high-quality smooth leather trim. The airbag module in soft-look paint rounds off the new, harmonious steering wheel design. From this generation on, a leather airbag module is part of the vehicle equipment when you opt for the optional leather interior. The newly designed 3-spoke sports steering wheel for PDK is a distinguishing feature of the new 911 models with optional Porsche Doppelkupplung transmission (PDK). The new, optional multi-function steering wheels for PDK have a unique design and are available in smooth leather, Macassar, carbon and Aluminum Look. All steering wheels for PDK have sliding buttons for changing gear manually arranged conveniently in the steering wheel spokes.
All new 911 models with PDK also have a new selector lever in a unique design with a recessed shift pattern on the elegant selector knob, which is based on the look of the selector level knob for manual transmission.
