Wheels And Tires

Standard wheels

The new 911 models come with newly developed 18 and 19-inch standard wheels in a unique design. The development focused on improving performance through lightweight materials and the actual design.

18-inch Carrera IV wheel

The 911 Carrera models come with 18-inch wheels as standard. The familiar dimensions 8J x 18 with a rim offset of 57 mm are used on the front axle, while the familiar wheel dimensions 11J x 18 are also used on the rear axle of the all-wheel-drive vehicles. On rear-wheel-drive vehicles, the rim width on the rear axle was widened from 10.0 to 10.5 and the rim offset was increased from 58 to 60 mm.

The contact surface of the tires - and therefore contact with the road - has been increased by increasing the rim width on the rear axle of the rear-wheel-drive 911 models and by reducing the tire pressure on the front and rear axle by up to 0.4 bar (6 psi). The advantage of this is greater traction and performance potential and improved driving and rolling comfort.

19-inch Carrera S II wheel

The 911 Carrera S models come with 19-inch wheels as standard. A striking design feature of the new 19-inch Carrera wheel is its 5 straight double spokes. The familiar dimensions 8J x 19 with a rim offset of 57 mm are used on the front axle. The familiar dimensions 11J x 19 with a rim offset of 51 are also used on the rear axle for all-wheel-drive vehicles, while a rim offset of 67 is used for rear-wheel-drive vehicles.

Tires

To guarantee the improved driving performance of the new 911 models, the tires have also been enhanced. Improved rubber compounds improve performance and in combination with redesigned tires, reduce rolling resistance. For a safe allocation of tires to the corresponding vehicle variants, the tested and approved tires are given the N specification.
