Interior Body Equipment

General

The design of the new interior is the same as the new design already used in the 911 Carrera Coupe. Particular attention was paid here to the matching of colors and materials. For example, many surfaces are designed in high-quality surface technology, as in the 911 Carrera Coupe.

The result is a high-quality, tasteful look for all interior components whether open or closed. An example of this are the covers of the rear side section trim, which are covered with top fabric, and the cover of the roll-over bar, which all seem to blend into one when the top is lowered. The lining of the optionally available hardtop with its perfectly tailored applications gives the impression of a Coupe. New, high-quality materials were selected for this.

The top on the new 911 Carrera/S Cabriolet can now be ordered in four versus the previous three colors, including the new top color cocoa. The windstop now comes as standard equipment on all 911 Carrera/S Cabriolets.

The interior equipment of the new 911 Carrera/S Cabriolet is basically the same as that of the 911 Carrera Coupe. The only Cabriolet-specific differences are in the area of the rear seat system, the top mounting base, the roll-over protection system cover, the carpets and the sound absorber.

The rear seat system of the 911 Carrera Cabriolet has a more upright backrest position compared to the 911 Carrera/S Coupe. Additional padding in the lumbar area underneath the backrest provides bio-mechanically correct back support.

The rear backrests can also fold over in the new 911 Carrera/S Cabriolet - this provides an additional 155 liters of storage space. There is an extra 70 liters of storage space behind the rear seat system when the top is closed. The well-designed cut-outs of the rear side section trim are closed with automatically operated covers - this looks attractive when open. The rear side section trim covers consist of a moveable plastic carriage and a clip-on cover upholstered in top fabric. The covers are controlled electronically by the top control unit and are linked to the top movement.

An additional flap closes the opening between the lowered top and the top compartment cover. It consists of a swivel-adjustable flap and a plastic bracket, which is connected mechanically to the hinge on the top compartment cover. The complex, simultaneous control of the top and cover adds to the huge amount of attention the 911 Carrera/S Cabriolet attracts when opening or closing the top. The cover of the roll-over protection system is decorated with top trim. Integrated in this are two swivel-adjustable covers, which open when the safety catch is removed.
