Removing rear cover

Information

The rear cover will be irreparably damaged during removal and must be replaced.





Installation position of rear cover

1. Remove rear cover at the left and right.
1.1. Open rear window cover.
1.2. Pull of rear cover at the left and right -1-.

2. Remove rear cover in the middle.
2.1. Pull off rear cover in the middle -2-.

Information

- Observe assembly sequence!

- The rear cover in the middle must be stuck on first, then the rear cover at the left and right.

1. Clean body flanges.
1.1. Remove adhesive residue on the body flanges and clean the body flanges using cleaning agent.
2. Install rear cover in the middle.
2.1. Pull off protective film on the bonding surface.
2.2. Position centering notch -A1- of the rear cover in the middle -2- and centering notch -A2- of the rear centre panel on top of each other -Arrow A- and press on rear cover in the middle -2-.
2.3. Press rear cover in the middle -2- in under the C-pillar cover -3- ( -Arrow B- ).

3. Install rear cover at the left and right.
3.1. Pull off protective film on the bonding surface.
3.2. Position rear cover at the left and right -1- at the rear cover in the middle -2- with the gap dimension -X- ( -Arrow A- ). => Gap dimension X: 1 mm
3.3. Press on rear cover at the left and right -1- and move it out until it is touching the roof pillar flange -Arrow B-.
