Diagnostic information - DME (DFI)

Oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter, bank 1 - signal too lean / rich

NOTE: This fault is detected if the oxygen sensor signal ahead of the catalytic converter deviates by a certain value from the control value (rich/lean mixture) within a certain time.
Diagnosis is initiated by fault detection in mixture control.

Diagnostic conditions
- --> Perform all short tests in sequence (without Tank tightness),

or
- steady driving > 20 Minute(s), at:
- approx. 80 km/h
- in the highest gear
- Lambda control (Behind catalytic converter) Active

Possible fault causes
- Leak in exhaust system between the two oxygen sensors on bank 1
- Short circuit to B+/ground/between lines or open circuit in the lines
- Oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter, bank 1, faulty
