WM 680719 Removing and installing cover strip

Preliminary work

1. Remove inner sill. -> 680519 Removing and installing inner sill - section on "Removing"
2. Loosen rubber seal for door in area of cover strip. -> 576319 Removing and installing rubber seal for door - section on "Removing"

Installation position for cover strip

1. Lift cover strip with plastic wedge and pull off cover strip.

2. Remove adhesive residues with cleaning solution.

Information

- The bonding surface must be free of dirt and grease. Clean with cleaning solution if necessary.

1. Pull protective film off the bonding area of cover strip.

2. Position cover strip and apply. Centre notch in cover strip at height of bead.

3. Press on cover strip firmly.

Subsequent work

1. Connect rubber seal for door in area of cover strip. -> 576319 Removing and installing rubber seal for door - section on "Installing"
2. Install inner sill. -> 680519 Removing and installing inner sill - section on "Installing"
