Preliminary work

1. Remove accessories close to the sound absorber (insulation).

Information

- The sound absorbers (insulation) must always be replaced if they are damaged or cracked.

2. Remove sound absorber (insulation).
3. Remove all adhesive residue on the body/accessories and clean with cleaning solution.

The fastening points must remain accessible when positioning the sound absorbers (insulation).

1. Pull off protective film and stick on insulation for convertible top rest -1, 2-.

Information

The fastening points must remain accessible when positioning the sound absorbers (insulation).

1. Pull off protective film and stick on sound absorber for control units -1-.

Installing insulation for rear wall

1. Pull off protective film and stick on insulation for rear wall -1- in the marked area.

2. Pull off protective film and stick on insulation for top of rear wall -2- in the marked area.
3. Heat up insulation for rear wall at the bottom -1- and top -2- using a Leister Elektron hot-air gun; see Tools and Equipment00000 and press on securely using a rubber roller.

The fastening points must remain accessible when positioning the sound absorbers (insulation).

1. Pull off protective film and stick insulation for firewall lid -1- to the firewall lid -2-.
