Technical values
Preliminary work
1. Remove air cleaner housing.

2. Release drive belt.
-> 137819 Removing and installing drive belt - Turbo Service and Repair.
3. Remove rear apron.
-> 635519 Removing and installing rear apron .
CAUTION
Hot components
- Risk of burns
-> Let hot components cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
4. Remove rear silencer.
-> 263319 Removing and installing rear silencer - Turbo Service and Repair.
WARNING
Objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
-> Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
5. Remove engine carrier.
-> 103019 Removing and installing engine carrier 103019 Removing And Installing Engine Carrier - Turbo.
WARNING
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
6. Drain coolant at the coolant regulator housing. To do this, unscrew the drain plug -1-.
-> 193817 Draining and filling coolant - Turbo (includes bleeding the system) Service and Repair.
6.1. After draining the coolant, fit a new sealing ring on the drain plug.
=> Tightening torque: 25 Nm (19 ftlb.)

Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
-> Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
-> Ensure that there is good ventilation.
-> If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
Information
Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:
- Torx screws: (E.) for external Torx, (T.) for internal Torx.
- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)
1. Remove coolant pump.
1.1. Unscrew five external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 25) -1-.
1.2. Unscrew one external Torx screw (E12, M8 x 25) -2-.

2. Disconnect coolant pump from the bracket and remove it.
Collect emerging fluid.
2.1. The pump seal can be reused if there are no visible signs of damage.
3. Check coolant pump pulley for damage and replace the coolant pump if necessary.
4. Clean sealing faces thoroughly.
Installing coolant pump
Information
- Grease O-rings, hoses and lines in the cooling system with Kluber plus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93).
1. Grease the coolant pump seal with Kluber plus Gel.
Information
Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:
- Torx screws: (E.) for external Torx, (T.) for internal Torx.
- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)
2. Fit the coolant pump.
2.1. Fit the coolant pump initially using five external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 20) -1-.
2.2. Fit and tighten one external Torx screw (E12, M8 x 25) -2-.
=> Tightening torque: 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)
2.3. Tighten five external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 20).
=> Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)

WARNING

1. Install engine carrier.
-> 103019 Removing and installing engine carrier 103019 Removing And Installing Engine Carrier - Turbo.
2. Fill in coolant.
-> 193817 Draining and filling coolant - Turbo (includes bleeding the system) Service and Repair.
2.1. Check the coolant pump and drain plug for leaks.
3. Install rear silencer.
-> 263319 Removing and installing rear silencer - Turbo Service and Repair.
4. Install the rear apron.
-> 635519 Removing and installing rear apron .
5. Fit drive belt.
-> 137819 Removing and installing drive belt - Turbo Service and Repair.
6. Install air cleaner housing.
-> 242519 Removing and installing air cleaner housing - Turbo Service and Repair.
