1. Remove rear apron.

2. Remove heat protection.

Information

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

- Torx screws: (E.) for external Torx, (T.) for internal Torx.

- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)

1. Remove oil return line and vent line on turbocharger oil tank.
1.1. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -1- at the oil return line support -6-.
1.2. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -2- for the oil return line at the oil tank.
1.3. Pull oil return line out of the oil tank -arrow- and collect draining oil.
1.4. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -3- for vent line -5-.
1.5. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -4- for shield.

2. Remove oil tank.
2.1. Unscrew two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 25) -1- at the oil tank.

2.2. Remove oil tank in a downward direction. Pull the vent line -5- out of the oil tank when doing so -arrow-.

Information

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

- Torx screws: (E.) for external Torx, (T.) for internal Torx.

- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)

Information

- Replace all gaskets and O-rings.

- Use the lubricant Kluber Syntheso Glep (Part No. 000.043.204.68).

1. Install oil tank.
1.1. Fit oil tank from below, inserting the vent line into the oil tank at the same time.
1.2. Fit and tighten two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 25) -1- at the oil tank.

=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
2. Fit and tighten external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) for shield on the oil tank.
=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
3. Fit turbocharger oil return line and vent line at the oil tank.
3.1. Fit external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -3- for vent line -5-.
3.2. Insert oil return line -6- into the oil tank -arrow- and fit external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -2-.
3.3. Fit external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) at the oil return line support -1-.
3.4. Tighten all the screws.
=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Install heat protection.
=> 635019 Removing and installing rear bumper.
2. Install the rear apron.
=> 635519 Removing and installing rear apron.
