Preliminary work

1. Switch off ignition and remove ignition key from the ignition lock.
2. Remove rear side trim panel at the left. -> 707519 Removing and installing rear side trim panel - section on "Removing" 707519 Removing and installing rear side trim panel

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.





Installation position

1. Unscrew the three fastening nuts -1-.

2. Release the electric plug connection -a- and pull the connector off the control unit.
3. Remove control unit.

Installing control unit for active engine mounting (PADM)

1. Position control unit on the holder and secure with the three fastening nuts -1-. => Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)





Installing control unit

2. Connect electric plug connection and lock it -arrow- until the connector engages securely.

Subsequent work

1. Install rear side trim panel at the left. -> 707519 Removing and installing rear side trim panel - section on "Installing" 707519 Removing and installing rear side trim panel.
2. If the control unit for the active engine mounting was replaced, the correct vehicle version must be coded. -> 103655 Replacing control unit for active engine mounting.
