Preliminary work
1. Remove pressure pipe.
-> 214119 Removing and installing pressure pipe.
1.1. Loosen screw-type clamps -1- and remove pressure pipe in an upward direction -arrows-.

2. Pull off original rubber sleeve on the throttle body by opening the screw-type clamp.
Checking

Leak-testing tool:
Special tool for leak-testing intake-air distributor
1. Slide the rubber sleeve from the special tool stopper 9264/6 onto the throttle body and secure in place with the original screw-type clamp.
2. Slide the stopper -1- into the rubber sleeve and tighten the screw-type clamp as required.

3. Build up overpressure of 0.5 bar. Larger leaks are very easy to hear once the pressure has built up; smaller leaks can be made visible using leak-locating spray.
3.1. When the pressure is built up, you will hear larger leaks hissing very clearly.
3.2. Minor leaks can be made visible using leak-locating spray (e.g. TEGA test spray TPS 674).
4. Remove special tool stopper 9264/6.
5. Carry out the required repair work to seal any leaks you find.
Subsequent work
1. Fit original rubber sleeve on the throttle body. Tighten screw-type clamp.
=> Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm (2 ftlb.)
2. Install pressure pipe.
