Preliminary work

1. Open convertible top.
2. Remove interior light. -> 962255 Replacing bulb for interior light - section on "Removing" 96221900 Removing and installing bulb for interior light
3. Remove operator control unit for garage door opener. -> 967819 Removing and installing operator control unit for garage door opener - section on "Removing" 96781900 Removing and installing control unit for garage door opener
4. Remove front lock. -> 610519 Removing and installing front lock - section on "Removing" 61051900 Removing and installing latch at front

Removing microswitch for roof





Installation position of microswitch for roof

1. Loosen circlips -1- (by turning them -Arrow a- with a small screwdriver) -2- from the front lock -4- and lift them up and off -Arrow A-.

2. Remove microswitch for roof -3- from front lock -4- by pulling it upwards -Arrow B-.

Installing microswitch for roof

1. Insert microswitch for roof -1- from above -Arrow A- into the front lock -2-.





Installing microswitch

Information

New circlips must always be used when securing the microswitch.

2. Fit circlips -3- from above -Arrow B- and press in until they connect fully with the roof microswitch -1-.

Subsequent work

1. Install front lock. -> 610519 Removing and installing front lock - section on "Installing" 61051900 Removing and installing latch at front
2. Install operator control unit for garage door opener. -> 967819 Removing and installing operator control unit for garage door opener - section on "Installing" 96781900 Removing and installing control unit for garage door opener
3. Install interior light. -> 962255 Replace bulb for interior light - section on "Installing" 96221900 Removing and installing bulb for interior light
4. Close convertible top.
