Technical values
Preliminary work
1. Remove additional brake light. -> 947019 Removing and installing additional brake light - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
2. Remove upper part of lid lock. -> 558719 Removing and installing upper part of rear lid lock - section on "Removing" 558719 Removing And Installing Rear Upper Part Of Lid Lock
3. Remove logo. -> 665019 Removing and installing rear logo - section on "Removing" 665019 Removing and installing rear logo
4. Remove rear spoiler. -> 665819 Removing and installing rear spoiler - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
5. Remove rear lid.

1. Carefully press out safety clips -1- with a screwdriver -arrows A-.

2. Press lid lock piece -2- out of the rear lid -3- ( -arrow B- ).
3. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove rear lock piece -2- ( -arrow- ).

Removing lid support
1. Remove lid support.
1.1. Disengage lid support -1- by turning it -arrow- and remove it from the rubber sleeve -2-.

1.2. Press rubber sleeve -1- out of the rear lid -2- ( -arrow A- ).

1.3. Press out retaining clip -3- for lid support -arrow B-.
2. Remove mounting plate for lid support.
2.1. Unscrew fastening screw -1- and remove mounting plate -2- ( -arrow- ).

Disassembling rear lid
1. Unlock locking tabs -arrow- on the adjusting element -1- and remove from rear lid -2-.

2. Pull off adhesive labels.

Information
The foam pad/foam part will be damaged irreparably during removal and cannot be re-used.
3. Remove foam pad.
3.1. Loosen foam pad -1- and pull it off the rear lid -2- ( -arrows- ).

3.2. Remove adhesive residue and clean with cleaning solution.
Assembling rear lid
Information
Bonding surfaces must be clean and free of grease.
1. Install foam pad.
1.1. Pull off protective paper.

1.2. Position foam pad -1- on the rear lid -2- and press it on -arrows-.
2. Stick on new adhesive labels => INDICATION STICKER , => STICKER.

3. Position adjusting element -1- on the rear lid -2- and push in until the locking tabs -arrow- click into place.

Installing lid support
1. Install mounting plate for lid support.
1.1. Position mounting plate -2- on the cross member -arrow- and secure with the fastening screw -1-. => Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)

2. Install lid support.
2.1. Press rubber sleeve -1- into the rear lid -2- ( -arrow A- ).

2.2. Press in retaining clip -3- for lid support -arrow B-.
2.3. Engage lid support -1- by turning it -2- and slide it into the rubber sleeve -arrow-.

Installing rear lock piece
1. Position rear lock piece -2- on the rear lid -3- ( -arrow- ) and secure with the fastening screws -1-. => Tightening torque: 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.)

2. Press lid lock piece -2- onto the rear lid -3- ( -arrow A- ).

3. Secure the lid lock piece -2- by pressing in the safety clips -1- ( -arrows B- ).
Subsequent work
1. Install rear lid.
2. Install logo. -> 665019 Removing and installing rear logo - section on "Installing" 665019 Removing and installing rear logo
3. Install rear spoiler. -> 665819 Removing and installing rear spoiler - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
4. Install upper part of lid lock. -> 558719 Removing and installing upper part of rear lid lock - section on "Installing" 558719 Removing And Installing Rear Upper Part Of Lid Lock
5. Install additional brake light. -> 947019 Removing and installing additional brake light - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
