Removing front side section trim

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

Information

- To reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

1. Unclip front side section trim -1- at the bottom from the locks -A-.

2. Pull front side section trim -1- downwards -B- out of the A-pillar trim.

Installing

Information

Information

- Check that all the fastening clips are positioned fully and correctly.

- Check that all the fastening clips are not bent or broken.

- Replace damaged or missing clips with new ones.

1. Push front side section trim -1- upwards -A- over the A-pillar trim.

2. Engage lock for front side section trim -1- at the bottom -B-.

Subsequent work

Install dashboard cover. -> 701619 Removing and installing dashboard cover - section on "Installing"
