Door Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

Technical values





Removing lock cylinder

1. Open driver's door.
2. Insert emergency release key from below (do not turn) and remove cap -1- from lock cylinder.





Unclipping cap

3. Unclip cap -2-.





Releasing lock cylinder

4. Unscrew fastening screw -3-.
5. Loosen fastening screw -4- only until the screw is blocked.
6. Press fastening screw -4- forwards using the screwdriver in order to release the lock cylinder.
7. Pull out lock cylinder -5-.





Removing lock cylinder

Installing lock cylinder

1. Insert lock cylinder -5- and position it.





Inserting lock cylinder

2. Tighten fastening screw -4- to => Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.).





Securing lock cylinder

3. Tighten fastening screw -3- to => Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.).
4. Clip cap -2- into place.
5. Insert cap -1- from the right-hand side at the lock cylinder with the locking lug and clip it into place.
