Replacing 2/3-split folding rear backrest
1. Remove load-through provision. -> 745619 Removing and installing load-through provision - section on "Removing" 745619 Removing and installing load-through provision
2. Remove lock for 2/3-split folding rear backrest. -> 726319 Removing and installing lock for 2/3-split folding rear backrest - section on "Removing" 726319 Removing and installing lock for 2/3-split folding rear backrest
3. Remove padding for 2/3-split folding backrest. -> 747219 Removing and installing padding for 2/3-split folding backrest - section on "Removing"
4. Remove rear seat belt at the centre. -> 691219 Removing and installing rear three-point seat belt - section on "Removing" 691219 Removing and installing rear three-point belt
5. Remove side airbag for 2/3-split folding rear seat. -> 696419 Removing and installing rear side airbag - section on "Removing" 696419 Removing and installing rear side airbag
6. Using a suitable tool, carefully unclip fixing clips -1- for the trim panel on the lashing points -2- from the backrest -3- from the front.

7. Pull the trim panel out to the rear -2-.
8. Carefully unclip the trim panel -1- on the top lashing point from behind using a suitable tool -2- and pull it out of the backrest -3-.

9. Remove headrest guide.

9.1. Carefully press in the retaining lugs -1- on the headrest guide -2- using a suitable tool -3-.
9.2. Pull the headrest guide -2- up out of the brackets -4- ( -arrows- ).
10. Replace backrest frame.
11. Install headrest guide -1-.
Installing headrest guide
11.1. Slide the guide -1- for the headrest into the holder -2- on the backrest -3- from above -arrows-.
12. Clip the trim panel for the top lashing point at the side into the rear cover on the backrest. => Trim panel on top lashing point
13. Clip the trim panel for the centre lashing point into the rear cover on the backrest. => Trim panel on lashing point
14. Install the side airbag. -> 696419 Removing and installing rear side airbag - section on "Installing" 696419 Removing and installing rear side airbag
15. Install rear seat belt at the centre. -> 691219 Removing and installing rear three-point seat belt - section on "Installing" 691219 Removing and installing rear three-point belt
16. Install padding for 2/3-split folding backrest. -> 747219 Removing and installing padding for 2/3-split folding backrest - section on "Installing"
17. Install lock for 2/3-split folding rear backrest. -> 726319 Removing and installing lock for 2/3-split folding rear backrest - section on "Installing" 726319 Removing and installing lock for 2/3-split folding rear backrest
