Preliminary work

1. Remove cover for backrest. -> 722619 Removing and installing cover for backrest - section on "Removing" 722619 Removing and installing cover for backrest

1. Detach cover for rear backrest at the top -arrow-.

2. Unplug electric plug connection for suction fan -arrows-.

3. Remove fastenings for suction fan.





Expansion rivets

3.1. Press the plastic pins -1- through the expansion rivets -2- using a suitable mandrel.
3.2. Remove expansion rivets -2- by pulling them towards the rear.
4. Pull the suction fan -1- out of the rubber flange (air guide) -2- ( -arrow- ) and remove it by pulling it towards the rear.

Installing suction fan for backrest surface

Information

The expansion rivets must be replaced during installation and must not be re-used.

1. Position the suction fan -1- on the backrest frame and insert it into the rubber flange (air guide) -2- ( -arrow- ).

2. Secure the suction fan on the backrest frame with two expansion rivets -2-.

2.1. Fit the expansion rivets -2-.
2.2. Fit the plastic pins -1- on the expansion rivets -2- and press them through using a mandrel.
3. Plug in electric plug connection for suction fan -arrows-.

4. Attach cover for rear backrest at the top -arrow-.
