3.6 L V6 Engine M55/02

In addition to complying with all worldwide emission regulations and reducing fuel consumption, the development goal for the 3.6 l engine was to increase both power output and torque. The increase in power by 10 hp to a total output of 300 hp and the higher maximum torque of 400 Nm (+15 Nm) at 6,300 rpm were achieved by a number of different measures.
