Removing tailpipes

CAUTION

- Risk of burns

-> Let hot components cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

Information

This description also applies for all other tailpipe variants (single or dual pipe)

1. Loosen fastening screw -arrow- on ball clamp.

2. Loosen tailpipes by turning and pulling off.

Installing tailpipes

1. Clean extension positions and replace ball clamp if necessary, depending on its condition.
2. Put tailpipes in installation position and align -> 263415 Aligning tailpipes Adjustments.

V8 engine
3. Tighten fastening screw on ball clamp to => Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ftlb.).

V6 engine
4. Tighten fastening screw -arrow- on the ball clamp to => Tightening torque: 60 Nm (44 ftlb.).
