Preliminary work

Remove right cover in the cowl panel cover. -> 664419 Removing and installing cowl panel cover - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Removing air quality sensor

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.





Installation position of air quality sensor

1. Unscrew inner fastening screw -1- on DME control unit bracket and remove water drip pan -2-.

2. Turn air quality sensor -1- ( -B- ) and move to the rear to remove it.

3. Release electric plug connection in order to release the locking mechanism using a screwdriver -a- and slide circlip -1- in direction of arrow -b- , then pull off the connector -A-.

Installing air quality sensor

1. The air quality sensor is installed in reverse order to removal.
2. Insert water drip pan -2- and tighten fastening screw -1- to => Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ftlb.).
