Preliminary work

Preliminary work for removing and installing steering column switch

1. Remove steering column trim -> 481319 Removing and installing steering column trim - section on "Removing" 481319 Removing and installing steering column casing.

Removing steering-column switch

1. Release electric plug connection -1- ( -a- ) and pull it off -A-.

2. Unscrew clamping screw -1-.

3. Pull steering column switch -2- with control unit for steering wheel electronics off the steering column -A-.
4. Unclip clip -1- using a screwdriver -A-.





Removing clips

5. Unclip clip -2- using a screwdriver -B-.
6. Release electric plug connection -3- and pull it off -C-.

Installing steering-column switch

1. Fasten clip -1- ( -A- ).





Plugging in connector

2. Fasten clip -2- ( -B- ).
3. Plug in electric plug connection -3- until it engages securely -C-.
4. Slide steering column switch -1- with control unit for steering wheel electronics onto the steering column -A-.





Tightening clamping screw

5. Screw in clamping screw -2-.
6. Plug in electric plug connection -1- ( -A- ).

1. Install steering column trim -> 481319 Removing and installing steering column trim - section on "Installing" 481319 Removing and installing steering column casing.
