Technical values





Preliminary work

1. Remove left front seat. -> 720119 Removing and installing front seat - section on "Removing" 720119 Removing and installing front seat.
2. Remove battery cover. -> 270619 Removing and installing battery - section on "Removing" Removal and Replacement.
3. Disconnect the battery. -> 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery.

WARNING

Incorrect handling of safety bolts

- Danger of injury
- Loss of torque

-> Always use new fastening screws and nuts following removal.
-> Observe specified tightening torques.
-> Carry out a visual inspection of all re-used parts.

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to loads or to the control unit

-> Disconnect the battery before removing the component or control unit.

1. Fold up carpet and pull it aside.
2. Unclip the small plastic cover -1- and remove it by pulling it upwards.





Unclip the small plastic cover on the power distributor.

3. Remove fuse element group A.
3.1. Unscrew fastening nut -1- on fuse element group A.

3.2. Unscrew fastening nuts -2- on electric lines -3-.
3.3. Pull electric lines -3- up off the studs.
3.4. Remove fuse element group A complete with power track.

WARNING

- Loss of torque

-> Always use new fastening screws and nuts following removal.
-> Observe specified tightening torques.
-> Carry out a visual inspection of all re-used parts.

- Risk of damage to loads or to the control unit

-> Disconnect the battery before removing the component or control unit.

1. Fold up carpet and pull it aside.
2. Unclip the small plastic cover -1- and remove it by pulling it upwards.

3. Unscrew fastening nut -2- on the fuse element group.

4. Release three plug connections -3- from the holders for the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.
5. Unscrew fastening screw -5- on the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.

6. Carefully turn the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor to the side.

7. Remove fuse element group B.
7.1. Unscrew fastening nuts -1- on the three electric lines -2-.

7.2. Pull the three electric lines -2- up off the studs.
7.3. Remove cutoff relay. -> 974619 Removing and installing cutoff relay - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
7.4. Pull off electric plug connection -3-.
7.5. Loosen the fastening nuts -4- on the disconnect switch mechanism.
7.6. Pull the disconnect switch mechanism -5- up out of the brackets and carefully place it aside.

7.7. Remove fuse element group B in an upward direction.

-> Carry out a visual inspection of all re-used parts.

-> Disconnect the battery before removing the component or control unit.

1. Fold up carpet and pull it aside.
2. Unclip the small plastic cover -1- and remove it by pulling it upwards.

3. Unscrew fastening nut -2- on the fuse element group.

4. Release three plug connections -3- from the holders for the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.
5. Unscrew fastening screw -5- on the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.

6. Carefully turn the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor to the side.

7. Remove fuse element group C.
7.1. Unscrew fastening nuts -1- on the two electric lines -2-.

7.2. Pull the two electric lines -2- up off the studs.
7.3. Unscrew fastening screw -3- on the power track.
7.4. Loosen fastening nuts -4- and pull the disconnect switch mechanism -5- up out of the brackets in the power distributor.
7.5. Unplug electric plug connection -6-.
7.6. Pull disconnect switch mechanism -5- apart.

7.7. Slide the cable shoe and sleeve -7- out of the disconnect switch mechanism -5- ( -arrow- ).
7.8. Remove fuse element group C complete with safety fuses, power track and cable.

-> Disconnect the battery before removing the component or control unit.

1. Fold up carpet and pull it aside.
2. Unclip the small plastic cover -1- and remove it by pulling it upwards.

3. Unscrew fastening nut -2- on the fuse element group.

4. Release three plug connections -3- from the holders for the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.
5. Unscrew fastening screw -5- on the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.

6. Carefully turn the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor to the side.

7. Remove fuse element group D.
7.1. Unplug electric plug connection -1-.

7.2. Unscrew fastening nut -2- on electric line -3-.
7.3. Pull electric line -3- up off the stud.
7.4. Unscrew fastening nut -4-.
7.5. Disconnect power track -5- and pull it up off the stud.
7.6. Remove fuse element group D and power track -6- by carefully turning it and lifting other power tracks out of the power distributor.

-> Carry out a visual inspection of all re-used parts.

-> Disconnect the battery before removing the component or control unit.

1. Fold up carpet and pull it aside.
2. Unclip the small plastic cover -1- and remove it by pulling it upwards.

3. Unscrew fastening nut -2- on the fuse element group.

4. Release three plug connections -3- from the holders for the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.
5. Unscrew fastening screw -5- on the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.

6. Carefully turn the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor to the side.

7. Unscrew the fastening nut -1- and remove the power track -2- for fuse element group E from the bolt.

8. Unclip relay module -3- and bracket as well as the fuse element and turn it upwards -arrow-.

9. Disconnect fuse element group E together with power track -2- from the relay module -3- and remove it.

Installing fuse element in power distributor

1. The fuse elements in the power distributor are installed in reverse order to removal.
2. Tighten the fastening nuts on the safety fuses to => Tightening torque: 16 Nm (12 ftlb.).

Subsequent work

1. Connect the battery. -> 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery.
2. Install battery cover. -> 270619 Removing and installing battery - section on "Installing" Removal and Replacement.
3. Install left front seat. -> 720119 Removing and installing front seat - section on "Installing" 720119 Removing and installing front seat.
