Fuel Tank Vent: Service and Repair

WM 202319 Removing and installing tank vent valve

Preliminary work

1. Remove design cover at the right (under the upper torque support). -> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover)
2. Pull design cover off the throttle valve.
3. Remove Y-shaped pipe ahead of the throttle valve. -> 243519 Removing and installing air box for throttle housing (intake ports upstream of throttle valve)

Removing tank vent valve

1. Disconnect engine ventilation line at the valve cover, cylinder bank 1 to 4. Naturally aspirated engine -1- or turbo engine -1-
2. Detach and remove tank ventilation and tank vent valve. Naturally aspirated engine -3- or turbo engine -3-. Disconnect cable plug.

Installing tank vent valve

The tank vent valve is installed in reverse order to removal.

Subsequent work

1. Fit Y-shaped pipe ahead of the throttle valve. -> 243519 Removing and installing air box for throttle housing (intake ports upstream of throttle valve)
2. Fit design cover. -> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover)
