Technical values
Preliminary work
1. If the TPM control unit has to be replaced, the values/data must be read out prior to removal using PIWIS Tester II 9818. -> 443455 Replacing TPM control unit 443455 Replacing TPM control unit.

- Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit
-> Remove remote control and switch off ignition before disconnecting or removing electrical load.
1. Release electric plug connection -a- and pull it off -A-.

2. Screw off the two fastening nuts -1- and remove control unit from the holder.

Installing control unit for Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM)
Information
Before installing the control unit for Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM), visually check the control unit and plug connection with regard to the following points:
- Damage to the housing.
- Damage to the contacts on the control unit.
- Damage to the connector and contacts on the vehicle wire harness.
- Dirty contacts.
If the control unit is damaged, replace it.
If the wire harness, connector or contacts are damaged, repair them in accordance with the relevant safety instructions using the Repair kit for Cayenne wire harnesses NR.155-2.
If the contacts are dirty, clean them.
1. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM) control unit is installed in reverse order to removal.
2. Tighten the two plastic fastening nuts to the specified tightening torque => Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.).
Subsequent work
1. Install cover for centre underbody at the left. -> 519319 Removing and installing cover for centre underbody - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
2. If the TPM control unit was replaced, the values must be written back into the control unit again using PIWIS Tester II 9818. -> 443455 Replacing TPM control unit 443455 Replacing TPM control unit.
