Preliminary work

Removing front seat-belt buckle

1. Loosen two fixing clips -1-.





Removing seat-belt buckle

2. Release electric plug connection -2- ( -a- ) and pull it off -A-.
3. Unscrew fastening screw -3- on the seat-belt buckle.

Installing front seat-belt buckle

Information

Always replace the fastening screws on the seat-belt buckle after customer service and reworking. The micro-self-locking screws must not be treated, greased or loosened and then screwed on again.

Information

- When routing the wire harness for the front belt lock, ensure that it is routed without tension.

WARNING

Incorrect handling of safety bolts

- Danger of injury
- Loss of torque

-> Always use new fastening screws and nuts following removal.
-> Observe specified tightening torques.
-> Carry out a visual inspection of all re-used parts.

1. Tighten fastening screw -3- to => Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.).





Installing seat-belt buckle

2. Plug in electric plug connection -2- ( -A- ) until the connector engages securely.
3. Fit two fixing clips -1-.

Subsequent work
