Preliminary work

Remove right cover in the cowl panel cover. -> 664419 Removing and installing cowl panel cover - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Removing pressure switch

WARNING

Refrigerant

- Danger of freezing

-> Avoid contact with refrigerant.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
-> Observe the safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and dealing with refrigerant.
-> Observe the safety regulations for extraction and filling systems.
-> Observe the instructions for repairing air conditioning systems and storing spare parts.

Information

Support the refrigerant line with your hand close to the pressure switch when screwing the pressure switch on and off.





Installation position of pressure switch

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- on bracket for control unit and remove water drip pan -2-.

2. Release electric plug connection -a- and pull it off -A-.

3. Unscrewing pressure switch -1-.

Installing pressure switch

1. Replace the O-ring on the pressure switch and wet it with refrigerant oil.

Information

Support the refrigerant line with your hand close to the pressure switch when screwing the pressure switch on and off.

2. Screw on pressure switch -1- and tighten to => Tightening torque: 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.).

3. Plug in electric plug connection on the pressure switch -A- until the connector engages securely.
4. Insert water drip pan -2- and tighten fastening screw -1- to => Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ftlb.).
