Preliminary work

1. Remove left front seat. -> 720119 Removing and installing front seat - section on "Removing" 720119 Removing and installing front seat
2. Remove battery cover. -> 270619 Removing and installing battery - section on "Removing" Removal and Replacement.
3. Disconnect the battery. -> 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery.
4. Remove carpet on driver's side. -> 704119 Removing and installing carpet - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Installation position of power distributor

Removing power distributor

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to loads or to the control unit

-> Disconnect the battery before removing the component or control unit.

WARNING

Incorrect handling of safety bolts

- Danger of injury
- Loss of torque

-> Always use new fastening screws and nuts following removal.
-> Observe specified tightening torques.
-> Carry out a visual inspection of all re-used parts.

1. Unclip the small plastic cover -1- and remove it by pulling it upwards.





Unclip the small plastic cover on the power distributor.

2. Release three plug connections -3- from the holders for the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.

3. Unscrew fastening screw -5- on the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor and unclip at the sides.

4. Carefully turn the large plastic cover -4- on the power distributor to the side.

5. Disconnecting plug connection -4-.

6. Loosen nuts -1- on cable shoes and remove all cable shoes from the power distributor.

7. Release and pull off plug connections -2 and 3- on the power distributor.
8. Loosen nuts -1 and 2- on the ground and B+ lines and remove lines from the power distributor.

9. Disconnect battery sensor connector -3-.
10. Loosen fastening nuts -2- and remove power distributor box -1-.

1. Installation is performed in reverse order.

Subsequent work

1. Fit carpet on driver's side. -> 704119 Removing and installing carpet - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
2. Connect the battery. -> 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery - section on "Connecting" 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery
3. Install battery cover. -> 270619 Removing and installing battery - section on "Installing" Removal and Replacement
4. Install left front seat. -> 720119 Removing and installing front seat - section on "Installing" 720119 Removing and installing front seat
