Removing front level sensor
Information
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.
Information
- In running gear with level adjustment, a level sensor is installed on each spring strut.
- The level sensor is screwed to the body and upper control arm.
1. Turn the steering as far as required until you have easy access to the level sensor.
2. Loosen locking pin -1- using a suitable tool -2- and remove it from the holder -3- ( -A- ).

3. Press holder -3- out of the upper trailing arm -4- ( -B- ).
4. Release electric plug connection -2- ( -a- ) and pull it off -A-.

5. Unscrew fastening screw -3-.
6. Remove level sensor -1- and holder -4-.
Installing front level sensor
Information

1. Position level sensor -1- and holder -4- and screw in the fastening screw -3-. -> 4X00IN Tightening torques for levelling system [1][2]Specifications
Make sure that the level sensor linkage is facing outwards. => Installing front sensor for levelling system
2. Plug in electric plug connection -2- on the level sensor -1- ( -A- ) and lock it -a-.

3. Press linkage holder -1- into the upper trailing arm -2- ( -A- ).
Make sure that the holder -1- is seated correctly in the upper trailing arm -2- ( -B- ).

4. Press locking pin -3- as far as it will go into the holder -1- ( -C- ).
Calibrating front level sensor
1. Connect the Porsche System Tester to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition and select the required menu.
2. Read out fault memory and correct any faults that are present, then erase fault memory.
