Technical values





Preliminary work

1. Remove front lid. -> 552219 Removing and installing front lid - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
2. Remove rear profile seal for front lid on both sides. -> 553319 Removing and installing seal for front lid - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
3. Remove both cover flaps of cowl panel cover. -> 664419 Removing and installing cowl panel cover - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Removing front lid hinge

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove relay box lid.

2. Unscrew fastening screws -2- for front lid hinge.

3. Remove lid hinge -1-.
4. Unclip cable clip -3- from lid hinge.

Installing front lid hinge

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Press cable clip -3- into bore.

2. Place lid hinge -1- in installation position.

3. Fit fastening screws -2- and position lid hinge -1-.
4. Tighten fastening screws -2- to the specified tightening torque => Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.).
5. Position relay box lid.

6. Tighten fastening screws -1- of relay box lid.

Subsequent work

1. Install front lid. -> 552219 Removing and installing front lid - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
2. Adjust the front lid. -> 552215 Adjusting front lid - section on "Adjusting" Adjustments
3. Install both cover flaps of cowl panel cover. -> 664419 Removing and installing cowl panel cover - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
4. Install rear profile seal for front lid on both sides. -> 553319 Removing and installing seal for front lid - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
