Removing and installing silencer for auxiliary heating

Preliminary work

1. Remove front left wheel housing liner -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Removing" Service and Repair.
2. Remove cover for centre underbody at the bottom left -> 519319 Removing and installing cover for centre underbody - section on "Removing" Service and Repair.

Removing silencer for auxiliary heating

CAUTION

Hot components

- Risk of burns

-> Let hot components cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

1. Loosen pipe clamp on exhaust pipe -arrow-.

2. Loosen fastening nut -2- on the bottom rubber mounting and remove the silencer -7- and holder -6-.

3. Loosen fastening screws -4- on the holder and remove the holder -6-.

Installing silencer

1. Installation is performed in reverse order.





Subsequent work

1. Install cover for centre underbody at the left -> 519319 Removing and installing cover for centre underbody - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
2. Install front left wheel housing liner -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
