Teaching remote control for auxiliary heater

Information

- The remote control for the auxiliary heater can only be taught using the Porsche System Tester.

- A maximum of three remote controls can be taught per vehicle.

- Switching from Heating to Fan can only be set on the control panel. The pre-set mode is started by pressing the remote control.





Remote control for auxiliary heater





1. Porsche System Tester 9718 must be connected to the vehicle. Then start the System Tester. Switch on ignition and press >> to continue.
2. Select the vehicle type.
3. Select the Drive links/checks menu and press >> to continue.
4. Select the Teach remote control to receiver menu, press >> and follow the instructions on the System Tester.
5. Once the SEND message appears on the remote control, press the OFF button -3- within 5 seconds, until the message Saved appears. The remote control is now taught.
6. To teach other remote controls, repeat the process.
7. Carry out a function test on the remote control and then read out the fault memory.
8. Porsche System Tester 9718 can now be disconnected from the vehicle.

Switching auxiliary heater on with the remote control

1. ON button -1- must be pressed for approx. 2 seconds. The LED -2- flashes green and goes out once the auxiliary heater is started completely.

1. OFF button -3- must be pressed for approx. 2 seconds. The LED -2- flashes red and goes out once the auxiliary heater is shut down completely.
