Information

After installing the oxygen sensor cables, use the Porsche System Tester to check that the oxygen sensors have not been interchanged. Release the oxygen sensor cables so that the cables can turn when you unscrew or screw in the sensor. Otherwise, the Check Engine light will come on and there may be a change in the vehicle's exhaust gas behaviour.

1. Grease thread of oxygen sensors with Optimoly Paste MF (000 043 207 07) before fitting them.
Make sure that the paste does not get into the slits in the sensor body.
2. Screw the oxygen sensor -1- into the primary catalytic converter -2- by hand.
Fit the oxygen sensor correctly using a special tool (e.g. open-end/ring wrench Nr.98, => Special tools for oxygen sensors ). => Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 ftlb.)+/-5 Nm (+/-3.5 ftlb.)
Carefully screw in oxygen sensors upstream of catalytic converter at the primary catalytic converter.
