Information

After any accident, the seat belt system must be checked systematically for signs of damage. If damage is found, the entire seat belt system must be replaced.

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Position adjustment fitting so that the upper fastening screw is accessible.

2. Unscrew the fastening screw -1-.

3. Fold adjustment fitting inwards -arrow A- and remove by pulling it upwards -arrow B-.

Installing adjustment fitting (seat belt height adjuster)

1. Engage the adjustment fitting at the bottom -arrow A- and fold it up towards the B-pillar -arrow B-.





Inserting adjustment fitting

Information

Always replace the fastening screws on the three-point seat belt. The micro-self-locking screws must not be treated (e.g. greased) or loosened and then screwed on again.

2. Tighten the fastening screw -1- at the top to => Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.).
