Technical values
Preliminary work
1. Disconnect the battery. -> 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery.

- Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit
-> Remove remote control and switch off ignition before disconnecting or removing electrical load.
1. Undo electric change-over valve.
1.1. Pull electric change-over valve -1- off the holder -arrow- and set it aside with the lines connected.

2. Unscrew fastening nuts -2 and 3- on the starter and remove lines -4 and 5- ( -arrow- ).

3. Unscrew the two fastening screws -6-.

4. Remove the starter.
4.1. Pull starter -7- towards the front in direction of travel -arrow A- and lift it up -arrow B-.
4.2. Remove line -8- ( -arrow C- ).
4.3. Lift the starter -7- up and remove it -arrow D-.

Installing starter
1. Install the starter.
1.1. Insert the starter -7- from above -arrow A-.
1.2. Fit line -8- ( -arrow B- ).
1.3. Lower the starter -7- ( -arrow C- ) and slide it into the engine housing -arrow D-.

2. Secure the starter with the fastening screws -6- and tighten to => Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 ftlb.)+8 Nm (+6 ftlb.).

3. Position lines -4 and 5- on the starter -arrow- and secure with the fastening nuts -2 and 3-. => Tightening torque: 18 Nm (13 ftlb.), => Tightening torque: 6.5 Nm (5 ftlb.)

4. Push electric change-over valve -1- onto the holder -arrow-.

Subsequent work
1. Install fuel distributor pipe. -> 243019 Removing and installing fuel distributor pipe - section on "Installing" Service and Repair.
2. Connect the battery. -> 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery 2X00IN Work instructions after disconnecting the battery
