Information:

Use of new cardan shaft during repairs

Date of Introduction:
November 30, 2010

Action Required:

When carrying out repairs involving the cardan shaft, the old cardan shaft must be replaced with a new cardan shaft.

This only affects vehicles which were produced before November 30, 2010 and on which the old cardan shafts listed below were installed.

The VW part number is shown on the cardan shaft.

Damage code 3902 097 000 2 or 3935 097 000 2
Document the action required in the related PQIS Job by entering 39020 or 39350 under "Location" and 9735 as the "Symptom" (Repair in accordance with PAG instructions).
