Technical values
Preliminary work
1. Remove front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - section on "Removing"
Removing ATF cooler
Installation position of ATF cooler
1. Unscrew three fastening screws -1- and remove lower air guide. -> 192419 Removing and installing centre air guide - section on "Removing" 192419 Removing and installing centre air guide
Unscrewing fastening screws
2. Place oil collection pan under the ATF cooler.
WARNING
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
3. Unscrew fastening screw -2- securing ATF lines -3- to the thermostat.
ATF lines
4. Pull ATF lines -3- out of the thermostat.
5. Drain ATF and close off ends of lines.
Removing ATF cooler
6. Carefully pull the centre air guide -4- forward -arrow A-.
7. Unclip ATF cooler -5- ( -arrow B- ).
8. Pull ATF cooler -5- to the right and out -arrow C-.
Installing ATF cooler
WARNING
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
1. Fit and clip in ATF cooler.
2. Insert ATF lines into the thermostat. Check sealing rings and replace if necessary.
3. Tighten fastening screw used to secure ATF line to the thermostat => Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)+/-0.8 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.).
ATF lines
4. Tighten the three fastening screws used to secure the centre air guide to => Tightening torque: 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)+/-0.5 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.) -> 192419 Removing and installing centre air guide - section on "Installing" 192419 Removing and installing centre air guide.
Subsequent work
1. Install front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - section on "Installing"
2. Check and top up ATF. -> 370235 Checking and topping up ATF - section on "Checking and topping up" 370235 Checking and Topping Up ATF
