Antenna line (GPS antenna to PCM)

Preliminary work

1. Remove headliner.
-> 708419 Removing and installing headliner - section on "Removing" 708419 Removing and installing roof trim panel
2. Remove upper part of rear-view mirror trim.

3. Remove dashboard.

Installing antenna line (GPS antenna for PCM)

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Information

- The new lines will be secured to the fastening points for the old lines.

- The old wire harness remains installed in the vehicle.

- The old wire harness will only be disconnected/unplugged directly at the connected components.

Information

- When installing the wire harness, make sure the insulation of the line is not damaged.

1. Disconnect GPS antenna line
1.1. Release plug connection for GPS antenna -1- and disconnect it -a-.

1.2. Release plug connection for antenna line -4- from the PCM system and disconnect it.

2. Cut off the connectors on the damaged antenna line, then insulate it and tie it to the main wire harness.
3. Route the new antenna line along the main wire harness, guide it through the existing cable ducts and tie it to the main wire harness using tie-wraps.
4. Plug in new GPS antenna line.
4.1. Plug in plug connection -1- for GPS antenna and make sure that the locking mechanism engages securely.

4.2. Plug in plug connection for antenna line -4- at the PCM system and make sure that the locking mechanism engages securely.

Subsequent work

1. Install headliner.

2. Install dashboard.

3. Install upper part of rear-view mirror trim.
