Upper clutch switch for cruise control


NOTE:
- Diagnosis monitors whether a signal arrives from the clutch switch during gear changes.
- The fault is stored when a certain number of gear changes are recognized to have taken place without a signal being received from the clutch switch.
- The clutch switch signal is sent via CAN from the instrument cluster.
- This fault is not detected in the instrument cluster.

Diagnostic conditions
- Normal driving with several gear changes

Fault effect:
- If this fault is set, the cruise control is not operational and drivability is restricted.

Possible fault causes
- Vehicle is driven without using the clutch
- Upper clutch switch for cruise control faulty
- Open circuit in power supply to the clutch switch
- Instrument cluster faulty
