Diagnostic information - DME (DFI)

Fuel high-pressure fluctuates


NOTE: The fuel high-pressure fluctuates by ± 15 bar from the setpoint fuel pressure.

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage more than 9 V
- Engine start detected more than 5 sec.
- Engine temperature -10 °C ... +100°C (14 °F ... 212 °F)
- Driving with different load and engine-speed ranges

Possible fault causes
- Loose contact or corrosion on connectors or lines --> Fuel high-pressure sensor
- Quantity control valve sluggish (in the fuel high-pressure pump)
