Fuel high-pressure control - Adaptation

NOTE:
- Faults in the area of the fuel high-pressure injection are frequently caused by defects in the pre-delivery circuit (fuel low-pressure).
- Therefore, the pre-delivery circuit must be checked first in case of problems in the area of the fuel high-pressure injection system.

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage more than 9 V
- Engine speed between 450 rpm and 4,000 rpm
- Engine temperature 10 °C ... +100 °C (14 °F ... 212 °F)
- Driving with different load and engine-speed ranges

Possible fault causes
- Predelivery quantity or pressure in the fuel low-pressure circuit too low
- Adaptation of the fuel high-pressure control necessary (See [Information] 2)
- Fuel high-pressure pump Faulty

INFORMATION 2:
- The old values must be deleted prior to a new adaptation of the fuel high-pressure ranges.
- The fuel high-pressure adaptation values can be deleted with the [PIWIS-Tester II] as follows:
[DME] --> [Maintenance/repairs] --> [Delete adaptation values]
- The fuel high-pressure adaptation values can be deleted with the [PIWIS-Tester I] as follows:
[DME] --> [Control unit programming] --> [Program immobilizer code]
