Modulation pressure solenoid valve

Diagnostic conditions
The control unit must be active in order to test internal function sequences and diagnosable inputs/outputs.
In the event of a fault, check whether the fault is permanently >present<. To perform the check, erase the fault memory, meet the diagnostic conditions and read out the fault memory again.

NOTE:
The ATF fluid level in the transmission must be OK and the specified ATF fluid must be used.
The ATF filter and cooler must not be blocked.

The following requirements are fulfilled for min. 0.5 seconds:
- Ignition on, voltage greater than 10.1 V and less than 15.5 V
- Internal Tiptronic control unit function test was completed successfully
- Engine runs without malfunctions

Possible fault causes
- Short circuit to B+/ground, between each other or open circuit
- Electrical fault in circuit
- Solenoid valve X faulty (see Fault text)
- Tiptronic control unit faulty

Fault effects
- Fault display in multi-function display in instrument cluster
- Check Engine warning light in instrument cluster >>ON<<
- Limp-home mode 1
- No self-teaching check >>Adaptation<<
- Signal to DME control unit to limit the incoming torque (designed to prevent clutch slippage)
