6. Battery Fan Monitoring

The battery contains two fans for its parasitical cooling. Both fans are check for proper response by using the analog feedback signals. The analog feedback voltage depends on the fan revolution.
A fan malfunction will be detected, if the fan feedback did not correspond to the commanded fan speed.

This monitoring strategy will check, if the feedback voltage value of each fan exceeds an upper or lower threshold (see Figure 6-1).

6.2.1 Monitoring strategy
This monitoring strategy will check during fan is controlled ON, if the feedback voltage value of each fan exceeds an upper or lower threshold curve (see Figure 6-1).
The curve depend on the controlled fan speed.
