BATTERY COVER

Information

A battery cover is now available through the Parts Distribution System for 1984 Alliance/Encore models. The cover provides optimum protection from the effects of rain water and the normal gases produced during battery discharge/recharge cycles.



Cover Installation

1. Lift the cowl panel weatherstrip upward and off the cowl flange (see illustration).

2. Seat the short flap of the battery cover on the cowl flange (see illustration).

3. Position the cover over the battery and insert the long flap of the cover between the battery case and hold down stud (see illustration).

4. Reinstall the cowl weatherstrip over the cover flap and onto the cowl flange.
