Information
This I.S. Note provides updated service and diagnosis information for the model 4139 automatic transmission used in Fuego 1368 models.

Any seals, O-rings, gaskets and roll pins removed during disassembly must be discarded and replaced with new components. Do not attempt to reuse these parts.

2. CONNECTING TEST BOX B.Vi. 958
Test harnesses B.Vi. 454-07 and B.Vi. 858 are required to connect the test box to the vehicle. Refer to Figure 1 for test harness hookup. The harnesses are available from the Parts Division under part number 454 07 and 858 00 respectively.
3. OIL PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT
The oil pressure adjustment procedure on pages F-39 and F-40 have been revised. Refer to the attached sample pages for the actual revisions and make the indicated changes on pages F-39 and F-40 of your M.R. 238 manual.

4. VACUUM CAPSULE IDENTIFICATION
Two different vacuum capsules are used (Fig. 2). The pressure adjustment for Type I and Type II capsules is different. Be sure to identify the type of capsule before adjusting pressure.
Make a note of this information on page F-39 of your M.R. 238 manual.
