Operation
Switch 181 for the electrically operated sunroof is supplied from fuse 11, via the 29-pole white connector 152A.
1984 and 1985 models are equipped with a spring- loaded switch, which can be moved in two directions, corresponding to the two directions in which the sunroof can be moved. 1986 models are equipped with a rocker switch.
On 1984 and 1985 models, motor 182 is earthed via terminal 7 of the switch, and on 1986 models, via terminals 1 and 8.
Fault-tracing hints
The sunroof will be operative when the ignition switch is in the drive position.
1. Check fuse 11 and check that the supply to it is live.
2. Check that the supply to terminal 4 (1984 and 1985 models) or terminals 3 and 6 (1986 models) is live.
3. Close the switch and check that the supply to the motor is live.
4. Check the connectors, cable harnesses and earth connections.
