Ignition, Basic Function
The EZK ignition system is fitted on 16-valve engines without turbocharger. The system is breakerless and equipped with a Hall sensor. This ignition system is controlled by a knock sensor to achieve the best possible performance from the grade of fuel being used. This provides good fuel economy and cleaner exhaust gasses.Fig. 4 Breakerless ignition system wiring circuit.:
Inside the distributor is a Hall effect switch that is connected to an output module. The output module amplifies and converts the signal from the transducer. The signal is then used to control the operation of the ignition coil. The ignition system is shown in Fig. 4.
